High School Bowlers Compete at State

The Clarkson-Leigh bowling team’s season has come to an end when they competed in Lincoln at Parkway Lanes for a state title.

With the bowling team having their last matchup for the year, Coach Tony Rayback said,” I thought the girls played well and finally came together at the end. Is was also fun to watch both teas improve over the season.”

The state winner for the girls was Plainview. The winner for the boys was Humphrey St. Francis.

Luis Aguirre had this to say about his team,” I thought that it was a pretty good year considering we only have three boys out, including me. It was a different experience and great atmosphere to be in and I can’t wait to see what is in store for us next year.”

The girls made it all the way through five bakers, while the boys only made it to three bakers before they were both eliminated from the contest.
