Another New Staff Member: Meet Mrs. Hastreiter

As the first week of the 2017-18 school year began, the elementary students and staff were introduced to a new paraprofessional, Mrs. Jamie Hastreiter! She will be assisting students and teachers in elementary classes this year.

Mrs. Hastreiter grew up on a farm by Clarkson and graduated from Clarkson High School. She then took classes online after being out of school for several years and eventually graduated in 2015. She currently has a diploma in Administrative Assisting.

Mrs. Hastreiter has been married for 10 years to Steve Hastreiter. Steve farms full time and also works at Reigle Cattle Company by Madison. They have two daughters who both attend Leigh Elementary. Rebecca is 9 and is in third grade, and Caitlyn is 3 and is in preschool. Mrs. Hastreiter and her family live on a farm just north of Creston.

“My first impression of Leigh has been great,” Mrs. Hastreiter said.  “Everyone is so welcoming. I am most excited about this year because I get to meet new people and meet a lot of new kids.”

When Mrs. Hastreiter is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, supporting Nebraska football, and, of course, the Patriots!

All staff and students are excited to have Mrs. Hastreiter in the building!
