One-Act Play Season Underway!
The 2017 Leigh One-Act play is underway and preparing to perform! This year, Leigh High School is performing the play “Shrek.” There are a whopping 31 cast members and even more students on the crew!
Leigh is extremely fortunate to be able to host both the Conference and District competitions at home this year. With the show being right in town, we hope parents and community members will come watch more than once. We especially hope you will come to our performances later in the year to see the best possible show!
This year’s One-Act play is coached by Justine Fischer, Megan Hillen, and Michelle Held.
Here is the performance schedule for the year:
Monday, November 13—Leigh High School—1:30 pm: Matinee Performance
Wednesday, November 15—Leigh High School—Conference One-Act Competition—8 schools competing, with the plays beginning at 9 am. Leigh performs at 10:30 am
Sunday, November 26—Leigh High School—7 pm—Annual Dinner Theater Performance—this is the big performance of the year. We hope to break our record set last year of 200 people in attendance! Dinner begins at 6:15 pm. Show begins at 7. Tickets to the dinner are $15 and support the Leigh Travel Club. Admission for just the show is a freewill donation.
Wednesday, November 30—Leigh High School—District One-Act Competition—8 schools competing, with the plays beginning at 9 am. Leigh performs at 9:45 am.
Members of the 2017 One-Act are excited to perform and ready for a successful season!
