JV FB Loses Both Opening Games
The Patriot JV football team had their first games of the season on September 4 and September 17.
On the 4th, the Patriots played the Madison Dragons in Leigh. Despite a tight game, the game resulted in a loss, 22-34.
On the 17th, the Patriots’ second game was an away game against Cedar Bluffs. The Patriots lost 8-37 in a tough road game.
Sophomore Trevor Zulkoski said, “Despite the losses, I think the JV football team is doing ok this year, but we are having problems showing up to the games. We also need to make sure that the offensive line is getting their blocks and staying on them.”
Coach Jeff Bachman added, "The JV Football team has shown some tremendous improvement this year. A lot of the kids are playing different positions and different roles for the first time. They are working hard, being coachable and getting better every day. It will be fun to see what they look like in a couple of weeks."
With this being the beginning of the season, their record sits at 0-2.
