Shout Outs This Week:

Justine’s 8th grade writing class used Quizlet & Quizlet Live to review vocabulary.

Bri using Nearpod to manage her classes. Nearpod is an interactive classroom tool for teachers to engage students with interactive lessons.  You tube video describing Nearpod: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3GVkM_GVa4

3rd & 6th graders exploring the Library’s new Ozobots.  Students coded these mini bots using color codes with red, green, blue, and black markers.

Thank you Kaegan, Logan, and Cort!!!  These students read the story “I Am Going on a Ghost Hunt” on film and we created a green screen video relating to the story.  Preschool enjoyed the story over snack time!!

Tech Tip #1:  Storybird https://storybird.com/

(Robin U. brought this site to my attention)  It is an excellent site for writing and publishing online.  You can create lovely poetry, picture books, and chapter books.  Your students can even publish their work and you can have a fundraiser for your class where people/parents can go in and buy student published books. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORDb_cQIK1Q
