Clarkson-Leigh FBLA Chapter Holds First Annual March of Dimes Walk

This year’s Clarkson-Leigh FBLA chapter has been working hard to get all of their ribbon projects done before state FBLA. Members were divided into committees and assigned a ribbon project to do. During this month of November, the committee made up of Paige Moore, Beth Wiese, Mitchel Beeson, Quintessence Indra, Molly Langhorst, Bailey Lemburg, and Cassidy Hoffman had a lot of work to do. They met several times in order to prepare for the March of Dimes Walk.

March of Dimes is an organization to help premature babies and their mothers. March of Dimes gives hope and a second chance because most babies don’t get a second chance to live.

To kick the week, off the committee held a coin drive to raise money for the March of Dimes. On Monday everyone was asked to bring in their pennies, Tuesday was nickels, Wednesday was dimes, Thursday was quarters, and Friday was bills.

On Saturday, November 17, 2018, the first annual March of Dimes walk was held in Clarkson. All FBLA members were asked to attend. The walk had t-shirts, donations, face painting, a meal, games, and a walking trail. The walk had a decent turnout for the first year.

The FBLA chapter was able to donate over $800 to the March of Dimes. It will help save many moms and babies around the US.
