Dance Team Competes at UNO

It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Clarkson Leigh Elite Dance team. They have danced at several basketball games and just recently competed at the University of Nebraska-Omaha competition on December 9.

The girls danced their hip hop and jazz dance. In hip hop they danced against only one other school and placed second. While in jazz they danced against two other schools and received third. Overall, it was a great learning experience, and the girls did an excellent job competing against teams that were three times their size.

“It was a great experience to go and compete against schools we usually don’t see,” junior Brittney Urbanek said. “We got some good feedback and we can’t wait to get better for state!”

“We received some great feedback on how to improve our dances for the Centura competition and State Competition!” Patriot Dance coach Erika Rupprecht said. “It was a fun and successful weekend!”
