Junior High Girls BB Team Trounces Schuyler and St. Ed
The Patriot junior high girls’ basketball team took on the Schuyler Warriors on Tuesday, December 11. The Patriots won handily 26-10.
Assistant Coach Melissa Brabec said, “We continued to play strong both offensively and defensively. It is fun to see the improvements the girls are making each game, with skills continued to be worked on."
Just three days later, on Friday, December 14, the Patriots had no mercy against St. Edward and only allowed the Beavers 7 points. The came home with another win, 55-7.
8th grader Jessica Hoffman said, “It always feels great to win any away game. We worked hard and had a great time.”
Head Coach Matt Murren said, "The junior high girls are having a great season so far and showing lots of improvements to this point. A big stress that we have as a coaching staff is fundamental development at this stage with ball handling, shooting, and defensive, and the girls have done a great job. They are learning and improving daily. This last week we played Schuyler and St. Edward on the road and were able to come away with two victories. We are currently 6-2 on the season and have played some nice basketball."
