Boys’ BB Beats Friend in Holiday Tourney
After a five-day moratorium, the Patriot boys’ basketball team came out fired up and ready to play on December 29 at the Shelby-Rising City Holiday Basketball Tournament.
With the first round of games being cancelled due to weather, this was the only game for the Patriots in the tourney.
The Patriots came into the game 2-5 looking to start the break off strong with a win, and they did just that.
At the end of the first half the Patriots led 30-9, and they didn't stop there.
In the second half the Patriots didn't slow down. They won the game 47-15 with a stellar defensive display.
After the game coach Bachman stated, “I was proud of how we played and picked up the win. It's always good to get through the Holiday Tournament with some success.”
Senior Daniel Beller, who led the team with 14 points and 8 rebounds, agreed.
“It was a good win for this team,” Beller said.
This brings the boys’ record to 3-5.
