Patriot Boys Take On Two Tough Competitors
The boys’ basketball team prepared all week for their games on January 17 and 21.
Thursday, January 17th, the boys traveled to Genoa to take on the Twin River Titans.
The Titans came into the game with about a .500 record.
As the Patriots came out strong in the first quarter, the Titans came out even stronger. The Patriots’ defense just couldn’t hang with the Titans, resulting in a Patriot loss.
As the game came to an end, the Titans took home the win with the final score ending at 40-74.
Freshman Jarred Novotny put up 13 points and senior Daniel Beller scored 10 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in the loss.
Freshman Kanyon Held said, “We started the game out strong in the first quarter, but after that, the wheels kind of fell off. We couldn’t match the number of points that the Twin River offense was putting up.”
