Patriots Wrestlers Compete at Neligh-Oakdale
With tough tournaments coming up, the Neligh- Oakdale meet was a good practice round for the Patriot wrestlers to see their competition before districts.
This was a quality invite with many tough teams there. There were also many ranked wrestlers at this meet. This meet also gave the Patriots a glimpse of what districts would be like, as several of the teams the Patriots will see at districts were at the Neligh invite.
Senior, John Langhorst said, “The competition there is always tough, and the team fought hard throughout and made it a good day.”
Brock Marxsen finished third and Colby Harney finished sixth.
Head Coach Tyler Reeves said, “I’m pleased with how we competed in a quality Class D tournament. Brock is putting together a good season as a freshman. Colby had 2 losses to tough kids and competed right with them. John had a very tough bracket.”
