JH Boys’ Basketball Beats Schuyler, Falls to Wayne
The junior high boys’ basketball team traveled to Schuyler to take on the Warriors. On Tuesday, January 29, both teams came out with a win.
The A team won 51-28 with ease. The leading scorer for this game was Kyle Kasik with 13 points.
The B team showed perseverance and won 18-17 going into overtime. The leading scorer for this game was Ryan Brichacek.
As the junior high boys’ basketball team’s season is continuing to wind down, the Patriots traveled away again to take on the Wayne Blue Devils. On Thursday, January 31, the Patriots battled.
Both the A and B team fought, but lost. The final score for the A team was 34-51 and the leading scorer was Kyle Kasik with 12 points. The final score for the B team was 14-27 and the leading scorer was Trey Steffensmeier with 6 points.
8th grader Kyle Kasik said, “We’ve been playing good throughout the season, but we need to play all 4 quarters to the best of our capabilities and then we'll be hard to beat.”
