Clarkson-Leigh Patriot C-Teams Play Madison
On February 4, the Clarkson-Leigh Patriot boys’ and girls’ C-Teams played the Madison Dragons. These games were the last games of the C-team’s season. The girls came out and finished the game with a score of 36-5.
The boys started out strong and played the best they could, but they could not finish out the game. The score ended out to be 38-49 Madison. The high scorer for the boys was freshman Kanyon Held with 10 points, Logan Schroeder was the second highest scorer for the team with nine points.
Freshman Logan Schroeder said, “We started out pretty well. We shot well as a team, but they shot better. Overall I think it was the C-team’s best game of the season.”
Coach Abby Sayers said, “I am very proud of our C team girls and how they finished the season on a strong note. We played with intensity, pushed the ball, kept our composure, and found ways to score the basketball. It was a true testament to how hard they have worked to improve this season.”
Freshman Bailie Graybil said, “We worked together as a team and we worked hard the whole game. We got a team win against an easy team.”
