Mr. Volquardsen’s 8th grade reading group used Flipgrid to record themselves presenting a poem that they wrote.
Mrs. Sayers and her Tech Apps class will have the town of Leigh drone video edited by the end of next week!
Mrs. Kabes and her 2nd graders learned about astronauts in reading. Then they created a Mars Rover using makerspace supplies and a Sphero ball. Students also used the VR goggles to explore the surface of Mars.
Mrs. Urban’s 4th grade class used Storyboard That https://www.storyboardthat.com/ and created a comic strip debating renewable resources to go along with their reading story this week. They also practiced their spelling words by making a Word Cloud on https://www.wordclouds.com/.
Mrs. Wietfeld’s kindergarten class were quizzed on Kahoot over clocks and time.
Mrs. Loseke’s 3rd graders are studying weather and they became meteorologists for the day. They found the forecast of their birth date by going to https://www.wunderground.com/history/. Then they used the green screen app called DoInk to record their weather forecast.
1st graders in technology listened to the book How to Code a Sandcastle by Josh Funk and then students gave their partner sequenced instructions on how to create a Playdoh sandcastle. They then used the app Tynker and practiced their Space Cadet coding skills.
