Senior Spotlight: Daniel Beller
February 2nd, 20001, was an amazing day for Darren and Lisa Beller as they welcomed their fourth child, Daniel Mark Beller, into their family in Norfolk, Nebraska.
The youngest of all siblings, Daniel has two older brothers Derrick, 32, and Dylan, 25. He also has an older sister, Michaela Gall, 34. Daniel also has grandparents, Mark and Marcelline Foltz, who live in Humphrey, Nebraska. On the farm, their family also wouldn’t be complete without their dog Cowboy, and their cat Nigglet.
To get to know this senior a little bit better, Daniel says the three best words to describe him are “funny, hard working, and talented.” His worst bad habit is “procrastination.”
Daniel has many favorite things. His favorite TV shows are Diesel Brothers and Street Outlaws. His favorite song “Magic in the Hamptons” by Social House. His favorite sports teams are the New England Patriots and the Golden State Warriors. His favorite food is spicy McChickens at McDonalds.
Outside of school, you can find Daniel showing cattle, shooting stuff, farming, or spending time with family and friends.
When asked who he admires most, Daniel would say “Donald Trump because he is rich and a very successful businessman. Plus, who doesn’t want to be rich?”
Throughout high school, Daniel has been involved in One-Act, FFA, and Band for four years; Golf and Basketball for two years; and 4-H for 10 years.
Daniel has also received many honors in many of these activities. He was a part of the State One-Act Champion team for two years, and a part of the State Runner-Up One-Act team for one year. He also earned the District Gold Beef Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency award in FFA. Finally, he is the Treasurer of his class. Daniel says that his proudest high school accomplishment will be graduating.
Daniel’s favorite high school memory is the day when he and Cort had to help Laura get food from the golf course. He says that it was probably one of the funniest days in school he has ever had.
Daniel’s most embarrassing moment in high school was getting two fouls in the first 22 seconds of the first basketball game of the season this year.
After high school, Daniel intends to major in something agriculture related at Southeast Community College. After he finishes college, he will probably return back home and farm.
After college in 10-15 years, Daniel see himself moved back around home and having his own house. He could possibly see himself starting a family as well.
If Daniel is fortunate enough to win the lottery, he would buy a nice big house, on a nice big lake, with a nice big boat. He would also retire by the age of 20, and have a nice big amount of cash left over to buy other nice big things.
Three goals on Daniel’s bucket list are to go on a grizzly bear hunt, go on an elk hunt, and make a bush-pulling tractor. If he could travel anywhere in the world, he would go to a tropical island to get away and spend some time on the beach, soaking up some rays.
Congratulations and good luck, Daniel!
