Senior High Spring Concert Held

The annual Clarkson-Leigh Junior-Senior High Spring Concert was held on April 1 in the Clarkson gym.

Opening the concert was the Triple Trio group comprised of Makenna Held, Taylor Larson, Natalie Reeves, Rylee Olson, Payje Rayback, Meranda Kudrna, Lexie Schroeder, Natalie Brabec, and Cassidy Hoffman.

Throughout the night, there were also a total of 6 soloists and 4 duets.

Two solos followed by Alicia Holmberg and Halee Steffensmeier followed the Triple Trio.

The Junior High Choir took the stage next, comprised of 64 students.  Tthey definitely had a lot of talent to share!

The next large group was the Senior High Band.  They performed their two selections they performed at District Music Contest.

Alicia Holmberg led the next several performances with a flute solo, followed by several more small group ensembles and Abbi Brabec performing a vocal solo.

The Junior High Band took over the crowd next with their two selections.

A Clarkson octet performed after the band.  That included Morgan Brabec, Kelsey Moore, Joy Mapel, Bailie Graybill, Abby Langdon, Beth Wiese, Amber Novotny, and Bethany Rupprecht.

Next on the stage was a vocal duet by Abbi Brabec and Natalie Reeves followed by two more vocal solos.

The final performance of the night was by the Senior High Choir.

“I was impressed with how many high school students volunteered to sing solos, duets, and in small groups,” Choir Director Cindy Settje said.   “There were 13 small groups besides the Sr. High and Jr. High Choirs and Bands. It took a lot of courage to be willing to sing a solo or duet in front of such a large crowd.  I was very pleased with how they sounded.

The concert went especially well since a lot of school has been missed due to weather and activities.
