Leigh Students Showcase Talent at EHC Art Show

The art students’ hard work really paid off on April 10th when Mrs. Ann Cerv and several art students traveled to West Point to compete in the Conference Art Show at the Nielsen Center.

The gym was filled with many masterpieces that the students had been working diligently on throughout the year. There was a total of 15 schools that competed and participated in the art show.

The students were very eager to set up their own artwork, along with their classmates’. They were excited to see what ribbons they received for all of their hard work throughout the year.

As expected, many students succeeded and received multiple ribbons and awards for their projects. Emily Loseke, Kayden Schumacher, Madisyn Pelan, Holly Kuhr, Cortlynn Cadwallader, Kaegan Held, and Raegan Settje all received either blue or red ribbons.

“I was very excited to take my art to conference and compare my work to everyone else's. I was pleased with my ribbon and I knew my hard work had finally paid off,” sophomore Madisyn Pelan said.
