JV Football Team Opens Season 2-0

The Patriot JV football team had a promising start to their season, winning both opening games to Madison and East Butler.

They played Madison in Madison on September 9, defeating them soundly 54-6.

JV Coach Jeff Bachman said, "The boys played really well against Madison. I was impressed with their willingness to be physical. It was a good start to the JV season for us."

Freshman Mason Whitmore agreed with Coach Bachman:

“Our first game of our JV season was very good,” Whitmore said. “There is room for improvement before we can reach our highest potential as a football team, but overall I think we played well.”

On September 16, the football team took on East Butler in Leigh. They finished their game with another win, 36-14. So far, the Patriot JV football team is undefeated!

When asked about the East Butler game, Clarkson freshman Drew Beason said, “ We all played great. It could have been a better defensive game, but it was a lot of fun to get a win against a solid team. We understood that they won the state championship two years ago and fully accepted the challenge and gave out best effort. Getting the win was very important and gave us great confidence for our upcoming games.”
