JV Softball Loses Both in Triangular

The Highway 91 Cyclones junior varsity team have had an eventful season this year. On Tuesday, September 24th, they hosted a triangular in Leigh, competing against Logan View Scribner Snyder (LVSS) and Ponca.

To start the triangular off, the Cyclones played Ponca and lost with a score of 8-9. Highway 91 battled, but not enough to win the game.

Sophomore Haley Bovee said, “We played hard and had fun even though we didn’t win. It was a great opportunity to work on fundamentals and situations.”

The Cyclones’ last game was against LVSS. The Cyclones unfortunately lost that game also, with a score of 7-11.

Coach Scott Polacek said, “I was impressed by our ability to battle back in both JV games. We hit the ball well; unfortunately, we dug ourselves a hole in each contest. We’re a young group, so hopefully we can keep improving before the season wraps up, iron out a few more mistakes, and sneak out a couple more wins.”

The Cyclones junior varsity team has competed well so far this season. The team is hopeful to keep doing great throughout the end of their season. We wish them the best of luck!
