Clarkson-Leigh FBLA Picks Up Clarkson Park

On Monday, November 4, the Clarkson-Leigh FBLA Chapter picked up the park in Clarkson as part of a Go Green Ribbon Project. Each year the chapter completes tasks that go with a ribbon that if earned will be worn at the State Conference in April of 2020. This ribbon project is just one of the six ribbon projects that the C-L FBLA chapter plans to complete this year.

The Go Green Ribbon allows students that participate in FBLA to get involved with local communities and help clean them up. The chapter raked up 20 bags of leaves and took them to the dump in Clarkson. On top of cleaning the park, both Clarkson and Leigh schools have installed recycling programs. The FBLA chapter also plans on washing the fire trucks in Leigh during the springtime.

The chapter asks everyone to keep saving those Coca Cola lids! The FBLA chapter receives five cents from each code on the caps. This is their fundraiser for the entire year. The money they get from the caps goes to help pay for FBLA members to attend the State Conference at the end of the year.
