JH Girls Basketball Season Starts Off With a Win
The junior high girls’ season started off with a win at the Humphrey-Lindsay Holy Family Tournament on November 23. They played two games, the first against Humphrey-Lindsay with the score of 34-25, Clarkson-Leigh. They next played Battle Creek, winning with a score of 33-28.
“For this tournament there were a lot of tough teams there, but we didn't let the thought of that get in our heads, and we came out and got first place,” said Tanyn Larson.
The girls are scheduled to play again on Monday, December 2, against Shelby/Rising City.
"The girls came out and played extremely well for our first games of the season. They battled back in both games, as we were down at half in both games. The energy on the court and on the bench provided the players the momentum to mount the comeback. It was an awesome way to start the season!" said Head Coach Matt Murren.
