JH Wrestlers Begin Season
As the first snow of the year falls, winter sports kick off with a bang. The first of these winter sports is Junior High Wrestling. On November 21, the junior high wrestlers went to Newman Grove for their first meet. Later, on November 23, the wrestlers traveled to Howells/Dodge for their second meet.
Head Coach Tony Horacek had good things to say about the last two meets. “The JH wrestlers are giving an exceptional effort at practice and in competition,” he said. “The coaching staff is very pleased with their efforts and performance. We feel they are moving in the right direction fast, and I expect that they will continue to work hard and continue to improve throughout the season.”
Wrestler Dylan Higby spoke on his performance:
“I think at these two tournaments we improved a lot since the first tournament in David City, but all in all, it was fun because we did very well in team points.”
