Make Memories Using Technology & Learning Experiences
Shout Outs:
6th grade students presented their science projects at the School Board Conference at CHI Center in Omaha. Their project was an animal or plant cell themed video game using the program Bloxels. Students did an excellent job showing off their hard work to administrators and school board members from around the area.
j
1st and 2nd grade students Zoomed with Santa from the North Pole. He knew exactly what they wanted from their Christmas Wishes.
Mrs. Sayers’ s 8th grade Business students learn how to code using the Wonder Cue Robots and how they may use code in their future jobs.
K-6th graders: Last week was Hour of Code Week through code.org. This is a Global Platform for coding. Our theme this year was If I Built a School by Chris Van Dusen since we are coincidentally building a new school. Students watched a video about a kid coder who created a coding board game and then they were off with their Family Groups to create a “school” video game using the program Bloxels. Then we joined back together as a whole school and tried to guess the Masked Reader, which ended up being Liz and Hadrian out of the 6th grade.
Goodwill Trip participants, grades 4th-6th graders, with the high school media class is creating a video about the Giving Tree.
