Patriot Basketball C Team Begins Season
The Patriot basketball season is still in the opening stages, but already, a lot has happened. The C teams are now in action for both the boys and girls.
On Monday, December 9, the C team played against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.
With the Humphrey/LHF pressing and nothing falling on offense, the Patriot girls were down going into the locker room at halftime. They came out with more fire after halftime but had dug themselves into too much of a hole. The final score was 9-29.
Abby Sayers, C team coach said, “Although the outcome of the game wasn't in our favor, there were still some positives. At times, our defense was strong, and we had good hedging on screens. I think the effort was there but we still have areas to improve on. Our goal on C Team is to get better every game and I think we are on the right path.”
Next up was the boys. A final score was unavailable, but it also resulted in a loss.
Sophomore guard Logan Schroeder said, “We played well and even though we lost, we can tell that we're improving and have improved a lot from last year. I can’t wait to see what future games bring for our team.”
The next game that the C-team Patriot girls and boys played was against HSF.
The girls were playing hard but couldn’t tie the night off with a win and lost 14-26.
The boys on the other hand put up an amazing fight and they tried their hardest but the Flyers took the win 32-40.
