FFA Competes in Livestock Judging, Junior team Qualifies for State!
On Thursday, January 30, the Leigh-Clarkson FFA livestock judging teams competed at Northeast Community College in District Livestock Judging Competitions.
The senior team consisted of three members: junior Riana Grotelueschen, who placed 9th; senior Sawyer Kappel, who placed 16th, and senior Carson Ahrens, who finished 18.
The junior team finished as district runner-ups and are advancing to state! There were 7 members. Dalton Zulkoski placed 8th, Justine Thompson placed 12th, Jacob Eisemann placed 15th, and Audie Tejkl placed 25th. Madison Noonan, Makenna Held, and Brayden Brabec are alternates for state.
Jacob Eisenmann said about the event: “I thought that the team competed exceptionally well, and all our early mornings spent in the Ag room practicing really paid off.”
