Leigh Speech Team Attends Humphrey Meet

And they continue!

The Leigh High speech team kids attended the Humphrey High Sweetheart Meet on the 15th February.

Those who attended were freshman Albert Dias, sophomores Aiden Miller and Audie Tejkl; and junior Emily Loseke.

Speechster Emily Loseke said, “For our second meet, we presented ourselves very well. I was privileged to watch a lot of talented people tell their stories for the very first time, and I honestly had a lot of fun learning about the 'speech ways.' Of course, there's always room for improvement, and I can't wait to see how we get better and better.”

Out of those who attended, Albert again performed his Humorous Prose, “Tips for Women”. Aiden performed his serious poetry “Subliminal Messages”.  Audie performed his Humorous Prose “George Carlin’s Guide to Dining Out” and Emily Loseke performed her Informative on an art heist in Zurich, Switzerland and a persuasive on “Why should people live in small, rural communities.”

Unfortunately no one made finals, but everyone did rank better than their first meet!
