Patriots Clobber the Tigers
The Clarkson-Leigh Patriots boys basketball team defeated East Butler in both JV and varsity. They played East Butler Friday, February 14 in Clarkson.
The JV boys started the night out with a great win 34-29.
The Varsity boys wrapped up the night with another win. In this game it seemed the Patriots were finding a way to score every trip down the floor. The Patriots ended the game winning 63-56 against a good East Butler team.
Junior Jarred Novotny had a breakout game with 29 points and 5 rebounds.
“We played good most of the game but hit a few rough spots. In the end we found a way to bounce back and get a win,” freshman Mason Whitmore said.
“I was very pleased with how we performed Friday night. We got a lot of great efforts from our guys and put together a solid team effort to secure the W,” said head coach Jeff Bachman.
After this game the boys’ varsity record is 7-13.
