Shout Outs
Mr. Prososki is using the Jeopardy Game Web App: to do vocabulary and grammar review with the 12th grade English class.
Mrs. Loseke’s 3rd graders researched famous historical figures and created an Adobe Spark slideshow to present their information.
Mrs. M. Hillen improvised in her Culinary Arts class by using Voki an animation tool because she lost her voice. She let the Avatar do the talking:). Very clever and way to think on your toes!! https://www.voki.com/
Mrs. Brabec’s S.S. class finished president infographics from Canva. What a great way to display and summarize information!! Very eye catching!
Mrs. Sayers’s sophomores in Entrepreneurship are learning about types of business ownership. They collaborated as groups and created iMovie's to portray their section of the chapter. They had a lot of fun, were very creative, and able to teach their peers.
Mrs. B. Wietfeld’s 5th grade students used Flipgrid to create videos to demonstrate idioms and how they help you as a reader understand what they mean.
Here is the link to check out their videos!

Mrs. Fischer’s sophomores used Canva to create character sketches for To Kill a Mockingbird (they had to answer specific questions about their character and provide a picture and present it in a visually interesting way to hang on the wall)
Mrs. Fischer’s 8th grade writing used "Character Story Planner" app to outline all their major characters in their fictional narrative stories they are writing. Justin had to download it onto their Chromebooks, and basically it asks a lot of questions about each character and forces the kids to develop round characters that readers care about instead of flat characters a reader can't invest in. Just a bunch of questions 8th graders wouldn't think about on their own. A lot of them have taken their descriptions they put on their app and used it in their stories. Creative way to develop character!!!
Mrs. Brabec had her parents at Parent/Teacher Conferences create a video on Flipgrid to motivate their child for NSCAS testing. What a great idea! It is so great to get parents involved in their student’s learning goals!
