Cassidy Hoffman and Trevor Zulkoski Named March “Students of the Month”

With the new month of school starting, it was time to name two new students of the month and recognize them for their great work in and out of school. These students are nominated and decided on by their teachers.  The two recipients for “Student of the Month” for February were juniors Trevor Zulkoski and Cassidy Hoffman.

Trevor Zulkoski is the son of Kelly and Phil Wendt and Ross and Becca Zulkoski.

He is a member of football, basketball, FFA, FBLA, and Youth Advisory Committee. His favorite class is PE.

Outside of school, Trevor enjoys fishing and hanging out with friends.

When asked about winning this award he stated, “I was surprised when I won this award, and I think it means that I have matured a lot from my freshman year. I have never won it before, so I appreciate the honor.”

Here's what the teachers had to say about Trevor:

“Trevor is a really fun kid to have in class.  He gets his work done, is polite, and is involved in a variety of extracurriculars while still managing to stay on top of his academic work. He tries his best in everything he does. He has matured a lot over the years and grown into a really solid student and contributor in his extracurricular activities.”

Cassidy Hoffman is the other winner of the Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Ryan and Kelli Hoffman and is the granddaughter of Bonnie and Terry Hoffman of Wakefield and Roger and Karen Bruhn of Leigh.

She is part of volleyball, basketball, One-Act, journalism, yearbook, quiz bowl, National Honor Society, Youth Advisory Committee, FCCLA, and FBLA. Her favorite class is Life Skills. In the future she plans to be an accountant, however she is still undecided on which college to attend.

In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, and playing sports.

"Receiving this award makes me feel very honored and humbled because I know that all the hard work I've been putting in hasn't gone unnoticed by my teachers," Cassidy said.

Here's what the teachers had to say about Cassidy:

Cassidy is a great student who works extremely hard and achieves at all she does.  She is fun to have in class, she is a leader of her group, and excels in the classroom, her extracurriculars, and in the community.  She is also a very helpful and kind person.”

Congratulations to both Trevor and Cassidy on being named Students of the Month!
