Senior Spotlight: Carson Ahrens

It is said that moms of all boys always know exactly where they stand…and it’s usually right in the path of a hurricane!

This saying rang true for Cara Ahrens Emerson as she raised her four boys. On October 8, 2001, Cara and the late Clark Ahrens welcomed Carson Charles Ahrens into the world.

As the youngest boy, Carson has four older siblings: Clancy, Connor, and Chase. He also has three dogs named Crash, Oakley, and Annie.

Throughout his high school career, Carson has been involved in FFA, One-Act, and Band all for four years. With a large role in all productions since his freshman year, his proudest moment in high school was winning state One-Act. Carson was also this year’s Homecoming King.

If Carson won a fortune in the lottery, he said he would buy a 1980 Jeep Wagoneer and save the rest or turn it into more money. If he could travel anywhere, he would go to Ireland because it looks very peaceful and different from America.

Carson’s favorite school subject is Ag. His favorite TV Show is That 70s Show, and his favorite song is “Armed and Dangerous” by Juice WRLD.

Someone Carson admires in his life is his grandpa because “he has worked hard in all of his years of farming.”

Carson plans to attend Northeast Community College to get a degree in Electrical Construction. In 10-15 years, Carson sees himself working as an electrician and living around the Leigh area.

Carson’s advice to underclassmen is “Life is what you make of it, so you might as well make the most of it.”

Congratulations and good luck, Carson!
