Junior High Volleyball Defeats Howells-Dodge

It’s not the team with the best players that win. It’s the players with the best team that wins!
The Clarkson-Leigh junior high volleyball team won against their friendly rivals from the east, the Howells-Dodge Jaguars on October 5 in Howells.
“I was very pleased with the play of both the B and the A teams. We came ready to play and it showed. The coaches felt like we set the ball up a lot and had some tough serving. I was happy that both teams won in two sets,” said Coach Kim Heimann.
“We had amazing serves and the hitters did a great job. They directed their tips and hits to the open spots on the court. We struggled a little bit in the beginning of each set, but then came back and gained control.” said 8th grader Brianne Kuhr.
The next game for the junior high girls’ volleyball team will be Monday, October 12th in Clarkson @ 5:30 p.m. vs. Humphrey St. Francis.
