Cyclone Softball Finishes Regular Season with 17 Wins

The softball team had a home run of a week during the first week of October.
They first crushed South Sioux City 11-3 in 5 innings on October 1, 2020.
Later in the week, they trounced West Point-Beemer in a double dual 18-2 before losing 4-6 to a very solid NEN Viper team. (NEN is comprised of the schools Wisner-Pilger, Pender, Bancroft-Rosalie, and Lyons Decatur).
“We had played both South Sioux City and West Point Beemer earlier in the season, so we knew what to expect. Both our offense and defense worked together to take the wins. We hit the ball well, got on top early, and shut them out in just a few innings,” said freshman Cassandra Rayback. “Against NEN, we put up a good fight, but we just couldn’t pull it off.”
This brings the Cyclones’ record to 17-12 heading into subdistrict play.
