Patriot Track Finishes Regular Season at Humphrey Meet

May 5th was yet another great day for the Clarkson-Leigh Varsity track team.
The team had a finals-only meet in Humphrey on Wednesday, May 5th. The rainy morning didn’t hold back the competitors. The girls pulled through with a 1st-place win and the boys finished 5th. This meet also brought quite a few individual first place wins as well.
“The Humphrey meet was a great meet with the girls coming home with the title and the boys finishing strong in 5th place. The girls have been rolling and I was very proud how the boys competed finishing with great time in the 4x1,” said Coach Jim Clarkson.
Junior Makenna Held said, “The Humphrey meet was another great meet as we wind down our season. Throughout this season many of us have shown improvement and tried new things. It was very impressive for the girls to get first at this meet considering all of the teams and the competition. I’m proud of how far many of us have come over the course of this season and excited to see how we can each do individually and as a team at districts and then state!”
