Cyclones Blow Out Opponents in First Regular Season Games

You could hear the crowd cheer as the Highway 91 Cyclones beat both Boone Central and Pierce back to back in the first regular season games of the season last week.
On Monday, August 23, the Cyclones played Boone Central at Dodge. It was Parents Night for the Cyclones, and the girls did not disappoint. At the start of the fifth inning, the score was 3-1, but the Cyclones broke it open from there, chalking up 6 runs that inning and defeating BC 9-1.
The next day they did it again. On August 24, the Cyclones traveled to Pierce and added another win to the record. After seven innings, the score was 12-3. 8 of these runs were scored in the seventh inning, blowing past Pierce’s 3 runs all game.
Junior starter from Leigh, Sydney Reeves, said, "These were two great games for our team. We stayed strong through both games and managed to take home wins both nights."
These two blowout victories made the Highway 91 Cyclones record 4-1.
