Cyclones Win Big at Twin River Triangular

With a huge win on Tuesday, the Cyclones traveled down to Genoa for a triangular against West Point Beemer and Twin River on Thursday, September 9th. The Cyclones played the second and third games.
Sweeping away the first game, the Cyclones won 11-0. Having Kennady Schmidt in the circle, she allowed no runs to cross the plate on two hits. Cassandra Rayback, Sophia Dvorak, and Jordyn Ratzlaff all moved runners across the plate with RBIs. The Cyclones did not commit a single error in the field, which resulted in the win.
The Cyclones also won their second game against Twin River 10-2. The Cyclones were consistently putting runs up on the board. They had 14 hits throughout the whole game, one being a home run by Sasha Perrin. She socked one over the fence in the fourth inning. With the Cyclones’ productive at-bats and solid defense, they were able to go 3-0 for the week.
“Our defense was solid in both games and we continually hit the ball well with quality at-bats,” said assistant coach Tiffany Rayback.
