Kevin Becerril and Natalie Brabec Crowned Homecoming King and Queen

Both Leigh and Clarkson announced their homecoming king and queen after the football game against Madison in Leigh on October 1, 2021. 

This year’s girl candidates from Leigh were Makenna Held, Kennedy Settje, Madison Noonan, and Natalie Brabec. The boy candidates were Kevin Becerril, Jacob Eisenmann, Kanyon Held, and Logan Schroeder.

The 2021 crown bearers from Leigh were Aubrey Wendt, daughter of Sara and Erick Wendt, and Kaden Dlouhy, son of Tara and Kyle Dlouhy. They are both first graders at Leigh Elementary.

The 2021 girl candidates from Clarkson were Melissa Bunner, Faith Indra, McKenna Stodola, and Bailie Graybill. The boy candidates were Eli Hays, Mitchel Beeson, Carter Hanel, and Noah Holoubek. 

This year’s crown bearers from Clarkson were Elenore Kudera, daughter of Shelby and Travis Kudera, and William Koehn, son of Jessica and Jarred Koehn. They are both kindergarteners at Clarkson Elementary.

Last year’s king and queen from Clarkson were Tommy McEvoy and Bailey Lemburg. Tommy McEvoy was unable to attend, so Bailey Lemburg crowned this year’s king and queen from Clarkson. 

Last year’s king and queen from Leigh, Trevor Zulkoski and Cassidy Hoffman, crowned this year’s king and queen from Leigh.

This year’s king and queen from Clarkson were Noah Holoubek and Melissa Bunner.

This year’s king and queen from Leigh were Kevin Becerril and Natalie Brabec.

Natalie Brabec is the daughter of Melissa and Dustin Brabec; she has a sister Abbi. In High School she has participated in Volleyball, Track, FCCLA, FBLA, FFA, One Act, Yearbook, Journalism, Youth Advisory Council, and National Honor Society. Natalie plans to attend Wayne State College and major in Elementary Education.

            Kevin Becerril is the son of Luz and Juan Becerril. His siblings include Roque, Jose, Juan, and Maria. During High School he has been involved in One Act and Youth Advisory Council. Kevin’s future plans are to attend Northeast Community College majoring in Criminal Justice.

            Makenna Held is the daughter of Heather and Keal Held; her siblings are Kammy and Layton. Her High School involvement has included Volleyball, Basketball, Track, One Act, Choir, Band, Journalism, FBLA, FFA, Youth Advisory Council, and National Honor Society. Makenna plans to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and major in Accounting with a minor in Agribusiness.

            Jacob Eisenmann is the son of Kim and Dave Eisenmann. He has 3 siblings: Gracie, Luke, and Wyatt. Throughout High School he has been involved in Football, Basketball, One Act, FFA, Band, Golf, and Youth Advisory Council. Jacob plans to attend Northeast Community College and major in Diversified Ag.

            Madison Noonan is being escorted by Kanyon Held. Maddie is the daughter of Greg and the late Shawn Noonan and Kim Noonan. Her siblings are Makenzie and Jordan Noonan and Karlie, Sarah, and Meranda Kudrna. During her High School career Madison has participated in FFA, FBLA, One Act, Volleyball, Choir, Yearbook, Travel Club, and Youth Advisory Council.

            Kanyon Held is the son of Kamin and Kip Held. His siblings are Kolton and Kaegan. Throughout High School he has been involved in Football, Basketball, Golf, One Act, FFA, FBLA, Band, Choir, Youth Advisory Council, and National Honor Society. Kanyon’s future plans are undecided.

            Kennedy Settje is the daughter of Kristi and Chad Settje. Her siblings are Reagan, Baylee, Brynn, and Bergan. She has participated in Volleyball, Basketball, Track, FCCLA, FBLA, Journalism, Choir, Band, One Act, Youth Advisory Council, and National Honor Society. Kennedy’s future plans are undecided.

            Logan Schroeder is the son of Sharon and Ron Schroeder. Logan has an older sister, Lexi. During High School Logan has been involved in Basketball, Football, One Act, Band, FFA, Golf, and Youth Advisory Council. Logan plans to attend Northeast Community College majoring in Automotive Technology.

There was a dance held the following night in the Clarkson old gym for all students in grades 8-11 from both Clarkson and Leigh.
