Patriots Bring Down the Flyers

The Clarkson-Leigh Patriots wrecked the Humphrey St. Francis Flyers on October 7, 2021.
Makenna Held, senior at Leigh said, “St. Fran was a fun game! We came in with a pretty good game plan and played with a lot of energy. I thought we were scrappy and we also served aggressively to keep them playing out of system. We had some awesome digs and kills which led us to taking them in three for a sweep!”
The D-2 Flyers had a very good record coming into the match, so this was a Division I win for the Patriots. The Patriots led in all sets for a 3-set win. The Patriots won the first 25-19. The Patriots kept the game going strong by winning the second set 25-19 and the third set 25-13.
Held paced the offense with 32 set assists on the night. Chloe Hanel had 19 kills and 13 digs. Kennedy Settje added 7 kills and 10 digs, while Gracie Eisenmann added 8 kills and 8 digs.
This win puts the Patriots at a 21-3 record on the season.
