C-Team Girls Finish Season 3-2

On February 6, 2022, the C-team girls’ basketball team had their last game of the season against Madison. This last game made the players want to get out there and try their very best to end their season with a bang.
The game was in Clarkson. The girls started off rough in the first half, which led to them being behind by 5 with the score of 12-17. The girls knew coming out of half time that they were going to have to step it up if they wanted to end their season with a win. Going into the fourth quarter, the girls were determined to win this game, so they locked in on defense and started making plays to get to the hoop.
Overall, the C-team girls basketball team came back and ended off the season with a win. The girls won by only one point after freshman Izzy Hollatz hit an awesome buzzer beater. The top scorers were Cadence Indra with 10 points and Izzy Hollatz with 8 points.
“The first half was a little rough for our team, but after half time we came out with a lot more fire. This great second half led us to a win!” Hollatz said.
C-team coach Ms. Rebbeca Hiatt was asked how the game went, and she said, “The girls came out and competed hard. After a little bit of a slow start in the first half, our defense stepped up in the second half. Heading into the 4th quarter being down, the girls hit some big shots. It was great to be able to close out a close game.”
Overall, Coach Hiatt was pleased with how the season went.
“Our goal going into the season was to make sure we improved from the beginning to the end of the season, which we were able to do. We were able to close out the season strong, winning the last 3 games of the season,” she said.
This win brought the C-team Girls basketball team to the final season record of 3-2.
