Speech Goes to Humphrey!

Five people recently competed at the Humphrey High School speech meet on February 12th: Aubrie Hanna, Gabriel Pinkston, Sage Fernau, Taya Hambleton, Pheobe Mayner, and Brianne Kuhr.

15 total schools competed in this meet.

Taya Hambleton and Brianne Kuhr placed sixth with their JV Duet, and Sage Fernau placed sixth in JV Serious Prose. Brianne Kuhr placed seventh in Varsity Humorous Prose.

Sage Fernau said, “The Humphrey speech meet was exciting. It’s always fun meeting new people, while developing great speaking skills. Overall our team is working really hard. I'm excited to see what we can do with the rest of the season.” 

Head Coach Mrs. Maddie Gall stated, “It has been fun to watch their hard work in practice pay off, as everyone continues to improve each meet.” 

Humphrey High won the varsity side of the meet, and Clarkson won the novice side.
