Two FFA CDE Teams Qualify For State Competition!

This past week on Tuesday, March 1, the Leigh FFA team competed in the second set of Career Development Events (CDEs) held at Central Community college.
The team did well overall, showcasing their FFA skills. The Livestock Management Team and the Meats Team even qualified for the State Competition!
The Livestock Management Team placed 1st overall, earning a purple ribbon. This team was made up of seniors Jacob Eisenmann, Madison Noonan, Kenna Held, Justine Thompson, and sophomore Taya Hambleton.
The Meats Team Placed 3rd overall, earning a blue ribbon. This team was made up of Kanyon Held, Jacob Eisenmann, Zane Williams, Logan Schroeder, and Mason Whitmore.
In Vet Science, Taya Hambleton placed 11th as an individual.
“It was a good time for our chapter to show our knowledge about ag and win some contests,” said Jacob Eisenmann.
FFA Advisor Ms. Vanessa Knutson said, “On Tuesday, March 1, the Leigh FFA Chapter competed at the second CDE contest at CCC. This day was met with many successes, such as the Livestock Management team coming out as the District Champions and qualifying for the State Convention in April. I am very proud of how the FFA Chapter did at this event and am looking forward to the State FFA Convention.”
