Class of 2022 Senior Spotlight: Isaac Rodenburg

By: Jared Olson, a freshman at Leigh High School

October 22, 2003, was an amazing day for the Rodenburg family as they welcomed Isaac Sylvestor Rodenburg into this world.

Isaac’s parents are Jon and Christine Rodenburg. Isaac has two siblings, Ben, a seventh grader, and Jaxon, a fifth grader. Isaac’s grandparents are Julie Gall, Henry and Karen Rodenburg, and Jeff and Lisa Gillotti. The Rodenburg family also wouldn’t be complete without their dog, Darwin, and cat, Tesla.

To get to know this senior a little bit better, Isaac says the three best words to describe him are “goofy, dumb, and sexy.” The biggest thing that gets under his skin is “annoying people”. Isaac says his own bad habit is talking when he isn’t supposed to in school.

Isaac has many favorite things.  His favorite class in school is weights class.  His favorite TV show is Shameless, his favorite song is “Sad” by XXXTenticion, his favorite food is pizza, his favorite restaurant is McDonalds, and his favorite sports team is the Kansas City Chiefs.

Outside of school you could find Isaac taking part in his favorite hobby: sleeping.

Throughout high school, Isaac has been involved in golf for two years, One-Act for two years, and basketball for four years.  He is also a member of the Leigh Youth Advisory Committee.

With all his activities, Isaac says his proudest moment was his senior year of One Act.

Isaac has had many memories throughout high school, but he says his most embarrassing moment was “anytime I had to give a presentation.”

Isaac says that his top 3 goals on his bucket list are to survive in life, get married, and have kids.

In 10-15 years, Isaac sees himself with a steady job and supporting a family.

Isaac says if there is a person he has really admired in his life over the years, it is Edwin Gall because he is hardworking and nice to talk to.  Isaac says he made a promise to Ed that he would graduate high school and always remembers that promise.

Isaac’s joking advice to underclassmen is, “Don’t be dumb.”

Congratulations and good luck, Isaac!
