Patriot Boys’ Golf Starts Up Again

By: Kammy Held, a freshman at Leigh High School

As it starts to get closer to spring, it is time for spring sports. The Patriot boys are thrilled to be able to start golfing again after the winter sports. They have already started practicing and there are many meets coming up.

This year's season consists of 12 players and 1 student manager. They boys also have 3 coaches.

The players are juniors Mason Whitmore and Dalton Zulkoski from Leigh; sophomores Simon Wemhoff, James Grotelueschen, and Morgan Bunner from Leigh; the student manager is 8th grader Quentin Mullenhoff from Leigh; junior Jase Indra from Clarkson; sophomores Mic Sayers, Christian Hamernik, Ryan Brichacek, Max Muhle from Clarkson; and freshmen Dexter Indra and Otto Crecco from Clarkson.

The Patriot boys are coached by Andrew Faltys, Mike Meyer, and Connor Blum.

Dalton Zulkoski stated, “With not being able to hit on the course yet this season due to the weather, it is kind of a disappointment, but I think everybody is starting to get their shots figured out in the gym. It is looking like we have a pretty good team this year and will be able to compete. Can’t wait to hit some balls on the course!”

Head coach Andrew Faltys said, “We have 12 boys on the roster this year and 10 of them have experience, which means we will have some competition for the top 5 varsity spots”, says Coach Andrew Faltys. “Even with the weather, we are able to get practices in with the use of the gym and the simulator. I’m excited for the season to start!”

Good Luck to the Patriot Boys this golf season!
