Cyclones 1-1 in Back-to-Back Game Nights
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Cyclones sure had a lot of games in the past week! After coming back from a
tournament on the Saturday, August 20, they came right back with games on Monday and
Tuesday night, August 22 and 23.
The Cyclones started the week off great, playing Boone Central in Albion on Monday.
Tough defense and quality at-bats led them to a 12-4 victory over Boone Central.
They then turned right back around and played Pierce on Tuesday night in Leigh. Pierce
is a good hitting team with a solid defense, so they came off very strong. The Cyclones did their
best to stop their balls, but Pierce was hitting very hard line drives. After getting down 0-10 early
in the game, the Patriots brought the score back to 6-10 late in the game. But a bad inning for
the Cyclones that included a Bluejay grand slam led to a final score of 6-20 in the Patriot home
loss.
This brings the Cyclone season record to 2-4 so far.
