Shout Outs:
4-5-6th grade students Skyped with author Shanda McCloskey about her new book called T-Bone the Drone. She created illustrations for the kids and answered their questions.
Thank you Josh Urban for volunteering your time to show how a drone is used in the real world!! He talked about how a drone is useful in the agriculture world. This went along with our author Skype.
4-5-6th grade students Zoomed with author Melody McAllister all the way from Alaska about her book called I’m Sorry Story. She taught students how to apologize and use empathy.
4th grade science students created closed circuits by making Valentine’s Day cards that lit up. Students used problem solving strategies to figure out when they had an open circuit and how to fix their circuit.
5th grade students are using Google Docs to write persuasive papers to NASA on why we should revisit some moons they have discovered but do not know much about.
