Reagan Settje and Payje Rayback Receive “Student of the Month” Honors
Launch the media gallery 1 playerIn a short assembly on November 6, two outstanding juniors in Leigh Community Schools were named “Student of the Month.” The recipients of this honor were Reagan Settje and Payje Rayback.
Reagan Settje is the daughter of Chad and Kristi Settje of Creston. She is the granddaughter of Gary and Judy Blessen of Creston, Tom and Sue Kabes of Clarkson, and Mike and Cindy Settje of Leigh.
She is a member of volleyball, basketball, FCCLA, FBLA, One-Act, band, journalism, yearbook, YAC, and track. Her favorite subject is Family and Consumer Science. Outside of school, Reagan enjoys playing sports, swimming in the summer, and babysitting.
This is Reagan’s third time receiving this award.
When asked how it felt to win this award, she responded, “I’m very thankful to receive this award. I appreciate that people recognize my hard work.”

“Reagan is a very hard working, positive and kind student. She is helpful and is successful at whatever area she pursues.”
“Reagan is a very mature and hard-working student. She is active in class and truly cares about doing her best.”
Payje Rayback is the other winner of this award. She is the daughter of Tony and Tiffany Rayback of Leigh.
This is her third time receiving this award.
She is a part of softball, YAC, FCCLA, One-Act, and yearbook. Her favorite subject is also Family and Consumer Science.
The junior said, “I feel honored to have received this award three years in a row. I'm glad to see that teachers are noticing some of the things that I do in and out of school.”

“Payje is always working hard in class and engaged in lessons. She always participates in class, helps facilitate great discussion, and turns in quality work. She is friendly, kind, and has a positive attitude. She’s a great addition to any class!”
“Payje is a kind and very hard-working person. She does a great job of being engaged in class and truly tries her best in everything she does.”
