Junior High Boys’ Basketball Season Comes to an End

All good things come to an end is the common saying, and it is definitely true when it comes to this junior high boys’ basketball season. The junior high had their last game of the season and for the 8th graders the last game of their junior high career.

Clarkson-Leigh played the Madison Dragons on February 13. It was a successful night for both teams as they brought in two wins to end the season.

The A team won with a score of 31-16, and the leading scorer was Trey Steffesnmeier with 9 points.

The B team won with a score of 26-12. The leading scorer was Joey Steffensmeier.

The A team finished the season with a 7-3 record, and the B team finished 4-6.

Seth Cash, boys’ coach at Leigh believed the season was a very positive one.

Overall, the season was quite successful,” Cash said.  Our A team lost some very good teams.  The B team also did well. Regardless of what the records are, our main goal was to see growth, and we most definitely did.  No matter the level of the player, we saw growth across the team. This was a great team to coach, and we wish the best to the eighth-grade boys as they pursue their high school athletics."
