Attention From The Leigh Secret Kindness Agency:

By: Emily Loseke, a senior at Leigh High School

In the first-ever Sixth Grade Kindness Challenge through November 9-13th, there were 144 kindness missions completed between the Leigh and Clarkson sixth grades. The challenged missions were to write a thank you note to a veteran, compliment at least five different people, do at least two extra chores at home, write a kind note to two older students, and do something kind for a younger elementary student.

The winning school was Leigh with 100% participation, Clarkson finished the challenge with 77% participation.

In addition, on November 11th, the “Kind Character” Challenge was established within the kindergarten, first, and second grade classes. Everyday, starting November 11th, each class’ teacher chooses a student who was the kindest throughout the day and recognizes them at the end of the day and week. The kind character recognized is someone who shares, compliments their classmates, says thank you, and spreads other kind acts.
