Elementary Students Sing Disney at Spring Concert
Elementary students in grades PK-6th belted the tunes from various popular Disney movies on Tuesday, March 13 in the high school gym.
The Pre-K sang “The More We Get Together,” “Rainbow Poem,” and “The Rainbow.”
The Kindergarten sang vintage Disney, including “Mickey Mouse March,” “It’s a Small World,” “Heigh-Ho,” and “Whistle While You Work.”
The first and second grades sang songs from Pocahontas, such as “Colors of the Wind,” as well as The Little Mermaid, like “Under the Sea.”
The third and fourth grades sang classics from Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast such as “A Whole New World,” and “Be Our Guest.”
The fifth and sixth graders tackled songs from The Lion King such as “Hakuna Matata,” as well as songs from Shrek like “I’m a Believer.”
The concert marked Mr. Kevin Welsch’s final elementary concert in his long career at Leigh.
“Tuesdays concert was truly awesome,” Welsch said. “Everyone enjoys the Disney Movies and you could tell the kids were really into their songs. Thanks to all for making it a success!”
