Shout Outs This Week:
Respect Program: 4th-12th graders listened to a Respect Group based out of Omaha. Their topic was based on Digital Citizenship. Students were taught how to handle uncomfortable online situations. Students should STOP! THINK, what could happen? Thanks for ESU7 for funding this program!
Gailen: In preparation for reading the novel, Wonder, the 8th graders in Mr. Volquardsen’s 4th period reading class collaborate to prepare a PowerPoint presentation on Treacher Collins Syndrome (TCS); a condition that the main character of the novel has.
Michelle’s 9th graders presented their Parts of Speech Videos to the 4th-6th graders. Great Job! They were very entertaining and informative!
3rd Graders introducing the Fisher Price Code-a-Pillar to the PreK3 class. They showed the Life Cycle of a Butterfly.
Upcoming Tech Events:
Elementary: Students will participate in a Mystery Skype with another state. A Mystery Skype is students exchange questions with the other location and try to figure out where they are from. This is to celebrate our Reading Challenge of reading 1,274 miles (1 point=1 mile) for the quarter for the upper grades & 1,274 miles (minutes/20 minutes=1 mile). Students met their goal and have reached their destination of the Grand Canyon. Keep up the great reading!
