Carson Ahrens and Payje Rayback Are Crowned Homecoming King and Queen

Payje Rayback and Carson Ahrens were crowned 2019 Homecoming King and Queen.

Homecoming Week 2019 for Leigh took place during the first week in October.  Students in grades 7-12 as well as staff voted for Homecoming King and Queen.

 

The crownbearers from Leigh Elementary were first-graders Mariah Kasik, daughter of Heather & Joe Kasik and Jase Clausen, son of Michele and Heath Clausen. 

 

The male candidates from Leigh were Carson Ahrens and Morgan Voborny.  The female candidates were Taylor Larson, Payje Rayback, Natalie Reeves, and Reagan Settje,.

 

Carson Ahrens is the son of Cara Emerson and the late Clark Ahrens.

Carson’s High School involvement has included One Act, FFA, Band,

Football and Choir. Carson belongs to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  He plans to attend Northeast Community College to become an electrician.

 

Morgan Voborny is the son of Patricia and Todd Voborny.  During high school, Morgan has been involved in FFA, Band and One Act.  Morgan plans to enter the workforce upon graduation.

 

Taylor Larson is the daughter of Bob and Kelsey Larson.  She has been involved in FCCLA, Volleyball, One Act, Journalism, Yearbook, Choir, FBLA, Youth Advisory Committee, Band, Dance, Basketball and Track.  She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Her future plans are to attend Wayne State College and major in Business

& Fashion Design.

 

Payje Rayback is the daughter of Tiffany and Tony Rayback.  Payje has participated in FCCLA, Softball, One Act, Youth Advisory Committee and Yearbook.

She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church.  Payje plans to attend Wayne State College, majoring in Family & Consumer Science Education.

 

Natalie Reeves is the daughter of Angie Reeves and Tyler Reeves.

Throughout high school she has participated in Softball, FFA, Choir, Journalism, One Act, Yearbook, Youth Advisory Committee, National Honor Society, Band, Track, Basketball and FBLA. Natalie is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church. She plans to pursue a career in Nursing through Bryan College of Health Sciences.

 

Reagan Settje is the daughter of Chad and Kristi Settje. Reagan has participated in Basketball, Volleyball, Band, One Act, FCCLA, FBLA, Yearbook, Quiz Bowl, Youth Advisory Committee, National Honor Society, Track and Dance.  Reagan is a member of Zion Lutheran ChurchHer plans are to attend Wayne State College majoring in Elementary Education.

 

After all the candidates were announced, last year’s king and queen, Logan Becher and Holly Kuhr, crowned the new king and queen. 

 

Carson Ahrens and Payje Rayback were bestowed with these honors!

 

Clarkson also crowned their king and queen, Isaak Wiese and Brittney Urbanek.
